On the occasion of World Cancer Awareness Day, Navajyothi Charitable Society organized an online cancer awareness seminar on November 7 from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM via Google Meet. The session was led by Dr. Febin Antony, Assistant Professor at Amala Cancer Centre, Thrissur, who provided detailed insights into the early symptoms of cancer, preventive measures, and available treatment options. He emphasized the importance of awareness and early diagnosis in effectively managing the disease. The seminar began with a welcome address by Social Work Counsellor Sr. Treesa Mary and concluded with a vote of thanks by Program Manager Els Maria Tom. Around 78 participants, including social work animators, sisters, SHG members, and mothers of NESP children, actively took part in the session, making it an informative and successful initiative.
